Hal Finney was a cryptographer and a software developer. He's best known for being the first receiver of a Bitcoin transaction.

Satoshi Nakamoto

Hal Finney was the first person to mine bitcoin, besides Satoshi and the first receiver of bitcoin[1]. Nakamoto sent Finney 10 bitcoins as a test in 2009[2]. Finney was suspected to be Satoshi Nakamoto by Forbes journalist Andy Greenberg, because he lived few blocks from a man names "Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto".
