Consensus mechanisms are fundamental protocols used in blockchain networks to achieve agreement among participants on the state of the distributed ledger. These mechanisms determine how transactions are validated and added to the blockchain. Various consensus mechanisms, such as Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, and Delegated Proof of Stake, employ different approaches to ensure the security, decentralization, and integrity of the network while maintaining consensus among participants.
